Quatre ans après Longplay 2 et dans la foulée de Chrysalis, un EP proposé en téléchargement gratuit sur Bandcamp, les shoegazers de Pacific UV s'apprêtent à revenir sur le devant de la scène avec Weekends, leur troisième album, dont la sortie est programmée pour le 31 janvier prochain sur le label Mazarine Records.

Le duo, qui pour l'occasion a quitté Portland pour retrouver Athens d'où il est originaire, nous offre un avant-goût de ce troisième opus par le biais d'un (court) trailer vidéo et d'un premier single Funny Girl à découvrir ci-dessous :

J'allais dire super nouvelle mais ouch, ce premier extrait... l'électro pure et dure leur réussit pas des masses. L'EP est dans la même veine ? :oops:

Ca m'a surpris aussi. L'EP (que j'ai écouté d'une oreille distraite en rédigeant la news) m'a semblé plus atmosphérique.

En effet l'EP est déjà bien électro mais c'est mieux dosé quand-même.

Ne vous fiez surtout pas à ce titre pour écouter ou non Weekends, c'est un peu le Good Day Today de l'album pour comparer avec Lynch... rien à faire là en somme et cette vidéo, wtf :P :
