Ah tu me fais plaisir là.
Ce Samamidon on n'en a pas assez parlé sur le Mag, faudra vraiment rattraper ça un de ces quatre. L'album est vraiment superbe, bien plus réussi dans le genre que le nouveau Bonnie "Prince" Billy que je trouve presque anecdotique pour le moment, d'autant plus après son magnifique The Letting Go...

Le coup de coeur dans le genre par contre s'appelle Clutchy Hopkins et son Walking Backwards. C'est un album majoritairement instrumental mais que je trouve excellent (En fait, personne ne sait qui est Clutchy Hopkins. d'après sa biographie, il s'agirait d'un fils d'ingénieur du son ayant vécu au japon dans sa jeunesse puis, de retour aux US, a enregistrer régulièrement avec des grands du jazz, funk, etc.... à travers les années 70s, 80s et 90s...Certains disent qu'il s'agit en fait de DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Madlib ou MF Doom! hahaha lisez sa bio sur AMG) .
Tiens je suis justement en train de découvrir cet album (pas trop tôt) et à tout prendre je verrais plutôt David Axelrod caché là-derrière...
ou en tout cas le bonhomme s'en est encore plus inspiré qu'a pu le faire DJ Shadow. Pour un résultat à la hauteur néanmoins, ça sent le top 10 de l'année cette affaire.
